Nominal capacity is only the headline
Planning 30ml, 50ml and 100ml Bottle Families is best approached as a measurable packaging decision, not a visual preference. A 30ml, 50ml or 100ml label does not describe the complete filling condition. Confirm overflow capacity, intended fill level, headspace, bottle weight and the height of the liquid shoulder. Filling trials should use the real fragrance formula because density, foaming and line settings can affect the final presentation.
Choose size around the buying occasion
Smaller formats reduce the consumer's first commitment and work well for discovery, gifting and travel. A 50ml bottle often balances shelf presence with freight efficiency, while 100ml gives a larger decoration area and stronger perceived value. The best range frequently shares one design language across several capacities.
Check secondary packaging early
Bottle dimensions drive the insert, carton, master case and pallet pattern. A few extra millimetres can materially change units per carton and freight cost. Freeze the bottle and cap envelope before finalising the box artwork, then repeat the transport check with filled and decorated production-representative samples.
