Start with the full pack weight
100ml perfume bottles can differ significantly in glass base thickness, cap mass and filled weight even when their visual dimensions look similar. Request the actual unit weight and full-capacity data, then review the bottle with the intended fragrance, pump and cap. This gives the packaging team a credible basis for divider design and freight planning.
Test the production-representative carton
A transport check should use the final glass, decoration, component stack, sleeve or divider, carton quantity and closure method. Test samples in the orientations and handling conditions that match the expected delivery route. A strong empty bottle does not prove that a filled and decorated packaging set will avoid leakage, abrasion or breakage.
Freeze logistics data before the purchase order
Record carton dimensions, gross weight, pallet pattern, maximum stack height and any market-specific labelling constraints in the approved specification. If a cap, bottle weight, protective material or carton quantity changes, repeat the review. This prevents freight quotes and quality evidence from being based on an earlier packaging revision.
